Orb Studios is an independent, founder-operated AI-native production studio. Orb produces commercials, music videos, brand content, and VFX on AI-native production pipelines.

Who Orb Studios is

Orb Studios was co-founded by Alex Ramsbottom and Joe Kalas. The studio is independent and founder-operated — there is no parent agency, no holding company in the trade name, and no franchise or licensing arrangement behind the studio's work.

Orb's posture is craft-first and originality-first. AI-native production pipelines are used to expand creative range and compress timelines — not to substitute for direction, taste, or production discipline. The studio's work is led by directors and producers operating at full creative authority.

How Orb Studios works

Orb assembles a small, operator-grade team around each project. AI-native pipelines are deployed where they earn their place — generative shot ideation, environment build, motion synthesis, and post — alongside conventional direction, editorial, sound, and color.

Every Orb engagement starts with a creative brief. The pipeline chosen for each shot is selected against the brief, not assumed. Deliverables are reviewed against the same standard a traditional production would face: does it serve the work, and does it hold up.

Why "AI-native"

An AI-native production studio is built around AI generative pipelines from the start — not as a feature layered onto a traditional shop. Orb's organizational structure, vendor stack, project plan template, and review cadence are all designed for AI-native production. That is the distinction the term "AI-native" carries.
